Description
Saint Cuthbert’s, Darwen
Standing proudly on one of the main routes into Darwen, Saint Cuthbert’s is a busy Anglican parish church built in an eclectic Gothic style. Its yellow sandstone, banded with soft pink, glows on a bright sunny day, and I wanted to capture that warmth in watercolour.
This church is far more than a beautiful building. It is a hub for the community, with a food larder that supports local people, a walking group, and a pop-up café where neighbours can meet over a cuppa.
This print celebrates a place that gives as much as it stands for.
What you’ll love:
- The warm yellow sandstone and pink banding, painted in bright sunlight
- The detail of the Gothic architecture, brought to life in watercolour
- A piece with a story: a church at the heart of its community
- A lovely keepsake or gift for anyone with a connection to Darwen
