Description
Darwen Market Clock
A watercolour inspired by a photograph by Stephen Cope, Darwen.
This is one of my personal favourites. The Market Hall glows against an orange sky as the sun slips away on an early sunset, with the clock tower standing proud over the town. Soft washes of colour melt into one another, catching that fleeting golden hour when Darwen looks its warmest. It’s a colourful, much-loved scene that brings a little local character to any wall.
What you’ll love:
- The warm orange sunset sky, which brings instant glow and colour to a room
- A recognisable Darwen landmark, ideal for locals, exiles and anyone with a soft spot for the town
- The loose, flowing watercolour style, with every wash and brushstroke faithfully reproduced in the print
- A gift that means something, perfect for birthdays, housewarmings or anyone who calls Darwen home
- A scene that suits any room, whether hallway, living room or office
