STANDISH ST WILFRID’S

An autumn view across the heart of Standish, where the elegant spire of St Wilfrid’s Church rises above a canopy of russet, amber and gold. At the right of the square stands the two-storey, castellated sandstone gatehouse, built as a War Memorial, its crenellated tower and arched doorway guarding the quiet churchyard.
